It’s not about me, it’s about you. But, you’re probably curious about me, so I’ll tell you a bit about my journey.

Where I’ve Been. . .Biomedical Engineer

I have a degree in Biomedical Engineering, with a Master’s level specialization in Human Factors and worked for about 15 years in the Silicon Valley Medical Device Start-up Industry.

    Balancing Personal / Professional Life

I imagine many of you can relate to loving your career AND wanting more space for the rest of life.  For me, the values-based intentional life is one that would allow more time for a personal life than my engineering work could provide. I am forever grateful to have built a new career that affords more flexibility to balance work, family, and personal growth.

    Holistic Counseling Psychology

I hold a masters in Holistic Counseling Psychology, specializing in transpersonal and somatic psychotherapies. This means that alongside studying attachment theory, basic human development, systems theory, and marriage and family therapy, I also studied mind-body psychology, Jungian therapy, dreamwork, dance movement therapy, integral psychology, and mindfulness based approaches to human wellness. Fun stuff!

    Yoga and Meditation

I have been practicing yoga around 20 years, with a dedicated mindfulness practice of 15+ years. I am a trained yoga instructor and mindfulness instructor. These practices are both part of my daily-ish personal practice, and I enjoy sharing and integrating these modalities with my clients based on their interests.

    Psychotherapy and Coaching

I offer psychotherapy to individuals, couples, children, and families in California. As a therapist, I also do a lot of coaching in sessions, in the areas of communication, mindfulness, goal setting, and habit development, depending on a specific client’s goals. Look for coaching-specific offerings and trainings for the general public from my coaching website- coming in early 2023.

    Writing

Writing is my newest venture. I write both non-fiction and fiction. For now, I am sharing my mental health and wellness oriented writing through my blog. I’m not sure what will come of my fiction work, but I am forever grateful for the craft of writing as a delightful personal practice.

Product Development / Applied Design Thinking

I keep looking for a chance to apply my product development and design thinking skills in new spaces. I’m open to partnerships to envision products that support people in living their best lives.

What I’m up to Now. . Continuing Education / Lifelong Learning
